The Grapevine Fellowship Meeting is a new meeting set up to address how to apply Christianity in our lives. It's set up by a new and dynamic group to make a quick, straight-to-the-point meeting for those who are busy working or studying.

We meet once every two weeks on a Wednesday to discuss topics and issues with His Grace Bishop Angaelos that affect our lives with a spiritual view.

We welcome you to come and join us and bring your friends too.

Restoration with God

HG discussed 'Restoring our relationship with God'. Again he refered to the parable of the Prodigal Son, there were 3 phases in his life: the point of his departure from his Fathers house, the point of realisation that he had strayed and the point of return to his Fathers house.
The Prodigal SonSimilarly in our life there are 3 important points to remember: when we stray from God we must realise this immediately; once we realise this we must take action to return to Him; and once we return we must know that we will be restored to our rightful place in the midst of His Heavenly Kingdom.

Restoration with others

HG spoke about restoring relationships with others - he spoke about the Prodigal son to highlight the various relationships that exist.
In the relationship between the son and the father, it shows our actions often hurt our Heavenly Father especially when we choose to live a life away from Him. We need to realise when we have wronged our Lord and turn back to Him asking for forgiveness.
In the relationship between the son and his brother, we learn that as Christians we are held accountable for our actions and the effect that is has on people around us. We must do all that is within our power to ensure we do not cause anyone to stumble.
In the relationship between the son and his friends, we learn that we need to determine when a relationship is ungodly and taking us away from God. These relationships must never be restored because nothing is more important than my being with God forever.
